Hocus Pocus

after a long time, I finally watched this movie again.

Hocus Pocus is a 1993 comedy fantasy film directed by Kenny Ortega. Staring Bette Midler as Winifred "Winnie" Sanderson, Sarah Jessica Parker as Sarah Sanderson and Kathy Najimy as Mary Sanderson.

the film began with the Sanderson Sisters, sisters of witches, doing a witchcraft ritual to regain their youth by sucking soul of a female child. The angry mob who knew this hanged them but the spell from Winnie’s spell book allowed them to be resurrected on Halloween eve when a virgin light their black flamed candle.

300 hundred years later, a teenager Max Dennison lighted the candle and resurrected the witches from their death. Max, Allison, his sister Dani and the cat Bynx stole Winnie’s spell book which the Sanderson sisters couldn’t perform the witchcraft without it. The witches had to kill more children and sucked their soul before sunrise if they not wanted to turn to dust and they needed the spell book back so they hunted Max and friends to get their book back and suck Dani’s soul.

the sanderson sisters ; Winnie the leader is the smartest but have a temper especially when people called her ugly, Mary the second sister has ability to sniff children, she usually comfort Winnie, and Sarah the youngest is the most beautiful of three, she is not smart but uses singing ability to lure children and flirt with men with her beauty.

Hocus Pocus is so funny, hilarious, making you LOL :))
